It feels like I haven't quilted in ages... My last quilt I finished was last December. So it really has been a while. It is crazy how time flies!
At the begining of the year I made a list of the quilts I wanted to accomplish in 2014 and a Pyramid/Triangle quilt was one of them. I bought the triangle ruler almost a year ago (that's how long it has been on mind). So finally a couple weeks ago I started pulling fabrics from my little stash and put together a selection that I thought would look good together. I have been cutting a few triangles each night and a more on the weekends and on Sunday I finally cut all the pieces a need to start putting the quilt top together. I can't wait to put this quilt together and finally check it off my list :)
I hope you are having a lovely week.

Martha.
I love the blue dot fabric you've photographed, such a pretty shade of blue. I can relate to having the inspiration but not the time/motivation to work on my quilty wish list so far this year.
ReplyDeleteThe blue polka dot looks yummy! Can't wait to see how the triangles will look like together, should be something very pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh, I can´t wait to see your work in progress. I love triangles too! So, have a good time with sewing :) Jola

ReplyDeleteI do so love the colours you have chosen here...and a triangle quilt will be just lovely. I have been thinking about triangles lately too, though maybe I should finish what I have started first haha. I know is going to be fantastic!!!
ReplyDeleteLoving your stacks of fabrics, can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeletelooking beautiful so far Martha. I'm glad I'm not the only one who only gets a bit of cutting or a bit of sewing done each day :-)
ReplyDeleteSometimes it can be nice to take a little time off. You photos are lovely. Sometimes that's my favorite part of a project - gathering and preparing materials - its all about anticipation!
ReplyDeleteThank you Elizabeth! You are right sometimes breaks are a good thing. Pulling fabrics and planning is a fun part of the process. The possibilities are endless.
