I've been cleaning and organizing my sewing room and I came across a few blocks that I made a while ago attempting to make the Farmer's Wife Quilt Sampler. Since the beginning this project has been kind of a love/hate relationship. I would love to one day make the whole quilt maybe in another color palette and try to hand piece the blocks. But for now I picked my favorite blocks that I had made and turned them into a mini quilt to decorate my sewing room. I hand-quilted the blocks and the negative space I machine quilted it. I really like how it turned out and it looks lovely hanging on the wall in my sewing room.
I hope you have a wonderful week!

I love the red, yellow, and light blue together! They make a fun, bright mini!
ReplyDeletethis is just the sweetest little mini - very fun! And a great way to use un-wanted blocks!
ReplyDeleteSuch a bright and happy mini to decorate your sewing room, Martha! Love the fact that you combined quilting methods to highlight those cute blocks. Looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteMartha, that is a good way to save the blocks. I love the color combo - it is so fun and bright!
ReplyDeleteMy next quilt must be red, yellow, and blue thanks to your inspiring blocks. I wanted to do my "Quilter's Garden" in these colors but I needed green for the flower foilage.
ReplyDeleteVery cute. It would brighten up any sewing room.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use those neglected blocks. Now if I only could take my quilting lemons and transform them into some lemonade, too!
ReplyDeleteOh how cute! Love the colours!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great color palette! I haven't made any mini quilts, but I am thinking more and more about how striking they are as a wall hangings and decorative inspiration for our creative spaces. Thanks for sharing yours. :)
