Hello friends! I hope you had a lovely weekend. My weekend was super fun. I worked on the Wonky Log Cabin quilt I'm making for my husband and I'm very close to finishing up the quilt top. Also, after a long break from knitting last week I went back to my knitting routine. Every morning I knit a couple of rows during my morning commute. I had stopped because I was suffering from tendonitis and it became painful to knit and was definitely not enjoyable anymore. But lately my condition improved and I was able to pick up the needles again. I'm so incredibly happy to be able to knit again. I started this shawl last year and I can't wait to finish it. It is about two thirds done, so it will take me a while to finish it, but I'm so glad I'm able to work on it again.
I hope you have happy week!

I can sympathise with the pain of your tendonitis. I'm knitting the yoke of a cardigan and the weight of all the pieces joined together is really hurting my hands. The Nae shawl is such a pretty colour but just do a few rows at a time so you don't exacerbate the condition.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shade. I use circular needles for most of my knitting for the exact reason as Catherine, the weight of the item on a straight needle coupled with carpal tunnel issues causes my fingers to go numb. I am planning to start some knitting during my commute too, since I don't have any other time to do it.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that shawl will knit up in no time now Martha, I love the colour. Great photos as ever too :)
ReplyDeleteYour new shawl will be wonderful, nice color! Have a great time, Martha!

ReplyDeleteGlad that your tendinitis is much better Martha. Your shawl looks so pretty - I love how you paired it with the lavender blossoms so we could really enjoy what a lovely color it is.
