Hello fellow slow bloggers! Welcome to Weekend Doings and  to this month's edition of the Slow Bloggers Linky Party.  I'm so happy you are here. I was so thrilled when Catherine invited me to host the Linky one more time. As you know the Slow Bloggers Link up is a place to share and  celebrate our crafty or personal achievements during the month whether big or small; as well as to connect with and support other fellow bloggers.
In honor of this month's link up I wanted to share with you one of my slow projects. This is shawl I started a couple of months ago. I love to knit, but I'm very slow at it. Before I used to get frustrated at myself for not being very productive.  Nowadays,  don't think much about how long it is taking me finish a project. I try to enjoy and savor every stitch that I make and I have to tell you, it is so much fun that way. Every little progress that I make it really feels like an accomplishment and before I knew it my shawl is almost finished.

How about you, what you've been up to this month?

Thank you so much for stopping by!

  1. What an amazing raspberry shade! You will enjoy knitting with this yarn - the longer it takes, the better!

  3. Hi Martha and thanks for hosting this months Slow Blog Linky. I am a slow blogger and proud of it haha. This month I found a beautiful crochet pattern and I knew I had to make it for my daughter as it was just perfect for her. My daughter chose the yarn and there was just one tiny obstacle to overcome, the pattern was written in French! I wasn't going to let that stop me and as I worked through it I carefully translated it. The result is my tah dah moment for a Racer Back summer top and my daughter loves it. This is my entry for this month.
Your raspberry yarn for your shawl is gorgeous and though it may take a while to complete you can savour the moment until you reach your tah dah moment. I think it will be a beautiful cherished garment for you.

  5. Your yarn and stitches are beautiful! Is the yarn a cotton blend?

  6. I can see why Linda J thinks it looks good enough to eat. It is the colour of blackcurrant sorbet - and it's beautiful. Your photos are just lovely, as usual!

  7. Your knitting is so neat and tidy (my knitting is always a little haphazard), and your photography is beautiful, as usual.

    1. Thank you Elizabeth! I'd like to be faster and finish a ton of projects but I can't. So I try to really enjoy the process and my slow finishes feel like a great accomplishment :)
